Gwendolyn Harper is a writer and translator; she occasionally makes objects. Her translation of the Chilean writer Pedro Lemebel's crónicas, A Last Supper of Queer Apostles, will be published by Penguin Classics (US) and Pushkin Press (UK) in May 2024.
Gwen is the recipient of a 2020 National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and a 2021 Works in Progress grant from the Robert B. Silvers foundation. She is grateful for additional support for the Lemebel project from PEN Translates (UK, 2022) and FONDART (Chile, 2023).
Gwen earned an MFA from Brown University.
